Welcome to Kunjani

Understand how Kunjani turns reusable learning content into live or self-paced games, and learn the platform's core terminology.

Kunjani is a game-based learning platform for creating, running, and measuring engaging learning experiences. Use it for live facilitation, self-paced mobile learning, onboarding, reinforcement, events, and longer learning programmes.

What you can do with Kunjani

  • Build reusable learning content from quizzes, polls, scenarios, reflection prompts, media, and other Activities.
  • Deliver Games live, remotely, or self-paced through WhatsApp or Microsoft Teams.
  • Give participants immediate AI-assisted feedback on their responses.
  • Track participation, scores, answers, and feedback through leaderboards and reports.
  • Organise related Decks into Series and related Games into Tournaments.
  • Co-create learning content with Agent Kunjani, Kunjani's instructional design assistant.

Understand the learning structure

Kunjani separates the content you build from the learning experiences you run. A Series organises reusable Decks in the Deck Library. A Tournament organises launched Games for shared oversight and competition.

Diagram showing Activities inside a Deck, Decks grouped in a Series, a Deck launched as a Game, and Games grouped in a Tournament.

The core relationship is:

  1. Create one or more Activities.
  2. Arrange the Activities in a reusable Deck.
  3. Optionally group related Decks into a Series.
  4. Launch a Deck as a live or self-paced Game.
  5. Optionally group related Games into a Tournament.

Series and Tournaments are independent. A Series helps organise learning content before delivery. A Tournament helps organise Games after they have been created.

Key terminology

Activity

An Activity is one learner interaction inside a Deck. Activities can include quizzes, polls, image prompts, scenario choices, demonstrations, and reflective questions.

Deck

A Deck is a reusable package of Activities. Think of it as a digital lesson plan that you can edit and launch more than once. Activities can be randomised or deliberately ordered to shape the learning experience.

Example: Create a Customer Service Basics Deck once, then use it for several training groups.

Series

A Series is an optional collection of related Decks in the Deck Library. Use a Series to organise a multi-part course, curriculum, or learning journey. A Series can have its own name, description, thumbnail, and public or private visibility.

Example: Group three Customer Service Decks into a Customer Service Foundations Series.

Game

A Game is one live or self-paced delivery of a Deck. Participants, answers, scores, leaderboards, assessments, and reports belong to that Game. You can launch multiple Games from the same Deck for different groups or dates.

Example: Launch the Customer Service Basics Deck as one Game for the March intake and another Game for the April intake.

Tournament

A Tournament is an optional collection of related Games. It provides a shared dashboard and leaderboard context across those Games. Participants should use the same team name in each Game when team results need to carry across the Tournament.

Example: Group a live workshop Game and two follow-up Games into one Customer Service Tournament.

Suit

A Suit gives an Activity its challenge style and scoring rules. Kunjani includes six standard Suits:

SuitEffect
Jolt ⚡Encourages quick thinking and sharp answers.
Oops 💣Applies a consequence for mistakes, with an opportunity to reflect.
Mystery 🧩Introduces a creative or unexpected challenge.
Demonstrate 🎬Asks participants to show a skill through action.
Advance 🚀Explores the benefits of an achievement or action.
Explain 💬Encourages deeper analysis and explanation.

You can also create custom Suits.

Leaderboard

A Leaderboard displays individual or team points during a live or self-paced Game. A Tournament can provide a combined leaderboard context across related Games.

Report

Each Game produces reporting data for participation, completion, answers, scores, and AI feedback. Use Reports to export data for an individual Game.

Agent Kunjani
