Create a Deck from scratch when the content is new. Copy an existing Deck when you want to adapt proven content without changing the original.
Start a new Deck or copy one
Select New deck at the top right of the Deck Library. Choose one of the two starting points:
- Create new deck for a blank Deck.
- Copy existing deck for an editable copy of a public or private Deck.
Create a Deck from scratch
- Choose Create new deck.
- Enter the Name and Description.
- Add an optional Thumbnail image.
- Set the Deck's Privacy and who is allowed to edit it.
- Select the Suits, users, and categories that apply.
- Select Save.
The saved Deck appears in the Private library and opens in the Deck editor.
Copy an existing Deck
- Choose Copy existing deck.
- Search the Public library or Private library for the source Deck.
- Give the copy a clear Name.
- Select Save.
Your copy is independent of the source Deck. Changes to the copy do not change the original.
Use the Deck editor
The editor shows the Deck's activities in play order. From the toolbar you can:
- Add Activity.
- Add Outcome.
- Edit the Deck's name, description, thumbnail, privacy, and classifications.
- Delete the Deck.
Drag the handle at the left of an activity row to change its position. The updated order is the order participants receive the activities in a Game.
Add an activity
Select Add Activity, then choose the Suit that matches the purpose of the activity.
Complete the activity drawer:
- Write the question or instruction participants will receive.
- Add optional question media.
- Add the Suggested response and optional response media.
- Add Assessment notes when facilitators or reviewers need marking guidance.
Supported media includes images, MP3 audio, PDF documents, and MP4 video. Each upload can be up to 15 MB.
Next, finish the activity settings:
- Link the relevant Learning outcomes.
- Set the estimated Time.
- Under Players respond with, choose the response format participants should use.
- Review Advanced settings when the activity needs extra controls.
- Select Save.
Edit or remove an activity
Select an activity row to expand it. Use the pencil icon to edit the activity or the bin icon to remove it.
Review the Deck with Preview a Deck, then use Launch a Game from a Deck when it is ready for participants.
