Join and play a Kunjani game in WhatsApp
You do not need to install another app. Your organiser will send you a WhatsApp link or a QR code for a specific Kunjani game.
Keep that invitation private. It contains the details needed to join the game.
1. Open the invitation and send the join message
Open the WhatsApp link or scan the QR code supplied by your organiser. A chat with Kunjani opens with a message similar to Join session ID 12345-6789 already filled in.
Send the message without changing it.
2. Enter your name
Kunjani welcomes you to the game and asks for your name. Reply with the name you want other players and the facilitator to see.
The game may also ask for your surname or other registration details. If an optional question includes a Skip button, select it when you do not want to answer.
3. Choose your team when asked
Some games use teams and some do not. If Kunjani asks you to select a team, open the list and choose the correct option.
If you are unsure which team to join, ask the facilitator before selecting one.
4. Review the rules and wait for the game to start
Select Rules to review how the game works, how activities are scored, and what each Suit means.
In a live game, the facilitator rolls the dice and starts each activity. In a self-paced game, you roll the dice yourself and continue when you are ready.
5. Answer each activity
Read the activity carefully and follow its response instructions. Depending on the activity, you can reply with:
- A text message
- A voice note
- An image
- A video
Submit your own response. The assessment checks the quality and originality of your answer.
6. Review your feedback and points
After you answer, Kunjani sends your rank, points, and feedback. Ranks progress from Beginner through Developing, Competent, Master, and Teacher.
If the activity allows another attempt, Kunjani tells you that you may try again. Use the feedback to strengthen your next response.
7. Check the suggested answer
When the activity closes, Kunjani may send a suggested answer. Compare it with your response to see what you covered and what you missed.
8. Continue until the game is complete
Repeat the same process for each activity. In a live game, wait for the facilitator to roll the dice and start the next round. In a self-paced game, roll the dice yourself when you are ready. When the game finishes, the facilitator can send the final leaderboard to WhatsApp so you can review your score and completed activities.
Troubleshooting
- If Kunjani does not reply, confirm that you sent the complete prefilled join message without editing it.
- If the game pauses between activities, the next step depends on the game format. In a live game, wait for the facilitator to roll the dice and start the next round. In a self-paced game, roll the dice yourself when you are ready to continue.
- If you joined the wrong game, ask the organiser for the correct invitation.
