Basic settings
Use the Basic settings tab to create a game, attach a deck, and choose how people will play.
1. Open Games
Select Games in the left navigation. Your existing games and tournaments appear in the left panel.
2. Start a new game
Open the Create menu at the top right, then select New game.
3. Name the game
Enter a clear, specific Game name. A descriptive name makes the game easier to find when your list grows.
4. Choose a deck
Every game must use a deck.
- Use All, Private, or Public to filter the available decks.
- Open the deck selector.
- Search for and select the deck you want to use.
5. Choose a play style
Select the play style that matches how you want people to participate:
- Live is selected by default. Everyone plays together, answers the same activity at the same time, and progresses in sync. Use it for workshops, face-to-face sessions, or video calls.
- Self-paced lets people complete the game asynchronously when it suits them. You might launch the game on Monday and ask everyone to finish by Friday afternoon.
6. Create the game
Check the game name, deck, and play style, then select Create Game. Your game is then ready for the next setup or facilitation step.
